Wine should be fun!
In 1900, 70 Caldaro winegrowers joined forces to form the Erste Kellereigenossenschaft, Kaltern’s first wine cooperative. In 1925 the Neue (or New) Kellereigenossenschaft was founded. Caldaro’s Erste + Neue Kellereigenossenschaft came about as a result of the union of these two cooperatives and the incorporation of the Baron Josef di Pauli Winery Cooperative in 1991.
Today almost 500 committed winegrowers bring their annual crop to the cellar. The total growing area covers approx. 280 hectares and is divided into a number of different individual vineyards. There is a range of white wines that are full of character, vintage reds and rare sweet dessert wines available to choose from.
