Cantina Merano
The taste of the Merano sun
In 1952 a group of bold and determined Merano winegrowers founded the Merano Wine Cooperative with the aim of improving the quality of their wines and increasing sales. Today the Cantina Produttori Merano is an ambitious operation with 194 members and a total cultivated area of approx. 130 hectares.
Strong and elegant vines flourish in the cooperative’s sun-drenched vineyards. Quality grows in the vineyard and is refined in the cellar. True to this motto, winegrowing has experienced many changes in recent years.
Reduced yields or “thinning out” have long been a standard technique applied by quality-conscious winegrowers and picking by hand is a matter of course for the members of the Cantina Produttori Merano
