The centuries old wine-growing village of Cortaccia with its splendid residences and time honoured vineyards stands towards the southern end of South Tyrol’s Wine Road.
The 200-plus members of the Cantina Produttori Cortaccia cultivate approx. 170 hectares of vines almost exclusively on hillsides. The lively white wines from the airy hillsides appeal thanks to their quality and price. In the red wine area varietal typicality is of the utmost importance.
The steep sites in the Cortaccia area, the particular micro climate and excellent soil all make it possible to produce superb wines even in years when the weather conditions are difficult.
